In a major move to curb traffic pressure in Greater Noida West, the authorities have decided to construct two U-turns on a 60-metre wide road from Gaur Chowk to Tigri. The U-turns will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore in Greater Noida West. The U-turn to be built before the Tigri roundabout near Khajur Chowk will ensure easier traffic movement from Gaur City-2 and also lessen the pressure at the Tigri roundabout.

Easier Traffic Movement Near Gaur City-2

Nearly 40,000 people live in the nearby societies of Gaur City-2. Due to the increasing population in these areas of Greater Noida West, traffic pressure has increased. The people passing through these areas during morning and evening rush hours face long traffic jams.

To curb traffic pressure, two U-turns will be built, and roads will be widened. Once the construction of U-turns between Gaur Chowk and Tigri in front of Gaur City-2 Society and before Khajur Chowk is completed, the drivers will not have to take a detour from the Tigri roundabout, lessening the traffic pressure at the roundabout. The movement of traffic towards NH-24 Ghaziabad will improve as well.
