UP News: Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhinandan of Uttar Pradesh dismissed 29 police personnel from their duties after they had been misusing their positions in different police stations for years. This action was taken two days after the arrest of eighteen people for their alleged participation in the extortion of money from truck drivers on the border between UP and Bihar. Among them, 16 were touts, and two were constables of the UP Police.
Following allegations of unlawful extortion and other misbehavior involving these officials, the Mirzapur SP decided to take this action.
