Uttar Pradesh News: The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to start round-the-clock tap water supply in villages across the state as part of a pilot project. One village from each of the 75 districts will be chosen to implement the initiative.
At present, rural households receive piped water for about four hours a day, two hours each in the morning and evening, under the Jal Jeevan Mission. According to officials, the project will now test 24-hour water availability in selected villages before expanding it further.
