Viral Video: With mercury on a continuous rise in most parts of India, the groundwater is understandably getting lower. Needless to say, the issue has only resulted in acute water shortage, which has left the suffering lot ‘running’ behind the ‘external sources’ of water. Confused? A video came forward, where some people were seen running behind a water tanker, with buckets and pipes in their hands. However, the already questionable video then took a concerning turn when people didn’t even wait for the tanker to stop and chose to climb over it to fit their water pipes in it. The incident, as per the post, took place in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri.

As soon as the water tanker stopped, the people standing on the street began to throw their buckets and pipes, for the people who were standing on top of the tanker. The clip went viral in an instant and left netizens speechless. Many also expressed their concerns about the possible accident that might have taken place due to the chaos that the locals created over the water tanker.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the news agency ‘ANI’. The post was captioned, “Delhi: People queue up near a water tanker to fill water in Chanakyapuri's Vivekananda Camp as water crisis continues in the National Capital.” The video was shared today and pulled 374K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Yesterday they were preparing for a flood-like situation, now they are worried about water. What is even happening with the people of Delhi?” a user said. “These people living in such camps should be suggested to leave this hell-like life and go back to their native places,” added a second person.

“Delhi giving 7/7 to Modi back to back 3 times. But still lives in harsh conditions,” added a third person. “What's even more concerning is the gap in water supply between rich neighborhoods & slums. While the wealthy have continuous running water & can afford expensive private tankers, the underprivileged don’t have these luxuries,” added a second person.
