Gold & Silver Pani Puri Viral Video: Maybe Indian street side food vendors have some one-sided ‘secret feud’ with desis, otherwise what else might be the reason behind vendors coming up with some of the most unwanted food experiments? Social media, for quite a while, has been witnessing some uncalled-for experiments that no one asked for. From Sting Maggi to Egg Pani Puri, the internet is filled with all sorts of ‘disasters’. Recently, a new one from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad joined the list, as a food outlet’s ‘Gold & Silver Pani Puri’ went viral on social media.
The dish was exactly how it sounded- Pani Puri covered with gold and silver sheets. What left netizens with further questions was the fact that this new recipe involved a Pani Puri filled with dry fruits, honey, and ‘thandai’. As soon as the video of the same was shared on the internet, it ended up being an inevitable ‘flop’ as most netizens were against it.

‘Cherishing_the_taste_’. The post was captioned, “Gold & Silver Panipuri!”

The video went viral and left people reacting. Most people were against the new recipe and downright refused to even call it ‘Pani puri’ as the entire recipe was changed. The rest commented on the ‘innovation’ and blamed the vendor for ‘ruining’ the snack. The video was shared three days ago and pulled 50K likes from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “I won’t even eat or try it for free... Changed the recipe of Pani Puri,” a user said. “What is this? Who asked for this? Why do these people do this to iconic food recipes? Also, what is fried pani puri? Isn't pani puri already a fried thing? What is even happening?” wrote a second person.
“Pani puri should be pani puri, don’t ruin it,” said a third person. “I mean why, why can’t Panipuri be just Panipuri?” asked a fourth user. “No matter how much gold, silver, or diamond, you serve it with, the real fun of Pani puri will always be in the roadside bag,” joined a fifth person. “Change the name also, when you have changed everything,” joined a sixth.
