Viral Video: More and more dancers, with time, are opting to turn streets, metros, buses, and other public places into their dance stage, and absolutely no one, except themselves, is on board with this bizarre ‘shift’. Joining the bandwagon, another woman chose a jam-packed street in Guwahati to give a dance performance to the hit song ‘Ami Je Tomar’. What was further ‘bold’, was that she dressed as the haunted character ‘Manjulika’, for the said performance. A video of her dancing as ‘Manjulika’ in the middle of the street was shared online, which went viral.
The clip obviously did not sit well with netizens as they dubbed it a ‘nuisance’ for commuters, while the rest simply called it a violation of traffic rules.
The video was shared on social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Preeti Thapa’. The post was captioned, “Manjulika spotted in Guwahati.” The video was shared four days ago and pulled 36K likes from people.

The video gained major criticism, as many chastised her for her decision. Some also called such performances and stunts an effect of the internet. Many also blamed her for causing traffic jam just for the sake of ‘likes and views’.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Desperate to get famous,” a user said. “If the cameraman would not have been there, people would have run away from that market,” added a second person. “Why do people even do such things? Not only is this absolutely not a place to dance, but your performance is also causing traffic jams. Get a life,” added a third person.
“Dear Manjulika, please obey traffic rules,” commented a fourth person. “Man really thought saying cut would make it less embarrassing,” commented a fifth user. “To become famous..... Pep does these things. And, it was not even that good. Half the people were confused and half were laughing because it was embarrassing,” added a sixth person.
