Viral Video: Any pani puri lover would agree that the mouthwatering dish is only half done without the inclusion of mashed potatoes. Perhaps that was the reason why half the desis felt the ‘gut-wrencher need’ to point the same out when they saw two men trying packed pani puris. A video of the said two men, one Korean and another a Naga, trying the snack was shared on social media, which went viral. However, the two had no mashed potatoes to have while trying the dish out. As soon as the clip went viral, people left no chances ‘un-taken’ as they urged them to have the authentic dish whenever possible.
The video was shared on social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘jinjung.brothers’. The video was captioned, “Korean and Naga Boy Panipuri. No aloo just Pani & Puri. Thank you my friend for the gift.”

The video was shared a while back and pulled more than 19K likes from people. Most people loved how the two were enjoying the snack and some suggested adding mashed potatoes as well. Many also urged them to try the authentic ones on the streetside.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “We are also coming brother, keep safe,” a user said. “Potato missing. Real pani puri SHOULD have potato as well guys. But I'm still glad that you anyways are enjoying the snack. Hoping that you will soon be able to try the authentic taste as well. Pretty sure you will love that more,” added a second person.
“Aloo chokha missing, still you people enjoyed, great,” added another. “You forget to add the potato stuffing.. that will create the utmost taste,” commented a fourth user. “Dude got high on a plane for a second there,” added a fifth person. “Idk why my 1st thought was that I should take you guys for Pani Puri.... For the real taste or make you some,” added another.
