Viral Video: Recently, a troubling video came forward, where a dhol player did something completely out of the blue during a baraat procession. The said man playing the dhol, suddenly picked up a girl dancing in front of him and made her sit on the instrument. He then began to play the dhol, with half the guests joining in, while the rest watching the incident unfolded with a confused expression. However, soon after people realised what was happening, an aunty stepped in and made the girl get down from the dhol.

The video immediately went viral and gained a mixed reaction. Some people lauded the aunty’s handling of the matter, while the rest partially blamed the girl for not resisting and instead dancing while sitting on the dhol. Many also spoke against the dhol player.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘divya_gandotra’. The post was captioned, “Who asked the dhol player to lift that lady? Everyone seemed to be in a joyful mood and didn't want to spoil it, but it's good that the aunty took a stand and said no to the dhol player.”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral as people had mixed reviews over the incident. Some netizens hailed the aunty and praised her quick actions, while the rest pointed out that the woman herself hardly resisted. The video was shared yesterday and pulled a whopping 1.4M views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Nice to see few people taking a stand rather than being a mute spectator,” a user said. “It’s a Sexual harassment. Someone has to file a complaint against this creep,” added a second person,” said a second person. “Yes, these guys should be stopped.... totally sleazy move,” added another.

“It has been a new trend, which started god knows why? Why the hell are people dancing while sitting on the dhol? It’s also very risky,” added a fourth user. “How dare he touch her like that and she's okay with it,” commented a fifth person. “In the same video, you can clearly see she isn't resisting and is showing signs of acceptance. Who are you to accuse someone and victimize them?” added another.

“I think they do the same with everyone. I have seen such videos. It’s absolutely fine and not too creepy. But, since things are so weird in India, it’s absolutely needed to save your women from everyone, even relatives somehow. I get it. But, again, it’s very common,” added another.
