Bringing back the issue of overcrowding inside the Indian Railways’ trains, a man narrated the ordeal that he went through over ticketless passengers refusing to deboard despite punishment threats. As per the post shared by the man in question, he was travelling in the first AC coach, when some passengers without a ticket boarded the train and hijacked the area outside the train’s coupe. Keeping safety hazards in mind, the man complained to the coach attendant, who jumped into action.
However, what left him and the internet shocked was that despite an authorised official getting involved, the ticketless passengers refused to deboard and gave excuses. As per the man, the passengers eventually deboarded in the station they wanted to, and left without facing any punishment.
The post went viral and left the internet with questions on train safety and laws. The post was shared on Reddit, by Redditor ‘kriticalmission’, with the title, “Even 1st AC isn't free from freeloaders.”
The post further read, “We're currently travelling from Hubli to Hyderabad and a bunch of people hopped on to the 1st AC coach sitting right outside our coupe. The coach attendant responded immediately to our complaint, but these people simply refused to budge. ‘Baccha hai’, ‘next station mein utar jaayenge’, ‘baahar hi baithenge’- these were their excuses. They finally got what they wanted. Despite raising the issue they got away with it. Why do we even bother paying extra for the sake of safety if this is what we have to deal with?”

Taking to the comment section, people shattered their take. “Wouldn't it be funny if we all just stopped paying for our tickets and just went and sat anywhere we wanted on the train? They can't even remove these people, so it's not like they'll act against us if we do it en masse,” a user said. “Actually better than stopping to their level we need to stop paying or buying train tickets until the railway fixes the mess,” added another.
“Call railway police and upload pics on Twitter,” added the third person. “Decent people will suffer, as always. I hope things get better after IR is privatised, or at least contracted partially,” commented a fourth person. “Privatisation is the only way this will get fixed,” commented a sixth user. “Our government is elected by the people. And mostly the people are dumb. Just live with that,” added another.
