New AC Temperature Rule Viral Meme: Love chilling in 16°C AC and bundling up in a blanket during summer? Well, that might not be possible anymore! The Indian government has announced a new AC rule that allows temperature settings only between 20°C and 28°C. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, “Regarding air conditioning standards, a new provision is being implemented soon. The temperature standardization for ACs will be set between 20°C to 28°C, meaning we won't be able to cool below 20°C or warm above 28°C. This is a first-of-its-kind experiment, aiming to standardize temperature settings.”

Once again, the internet proves it can turn anything into a laugh. One of the main reasons for this step is to save electricity, especially in summer when power use is very high. Many people keep their ACs at very low temperatures, like 16°C, which puts a lot of load on the electricity supply.
