UPI ATM: Making cardless cash withdrawal much easier, India is all set for the UPI ATM. The Unified Payments Interface or UPI is a real-time payment system that is used for money transactions through the phone. The platform has taken the Indian digital payment system to another level. Now, receiving another major upgrade, people will be able to withdraw cash using the UPI ATM without any card. Ravisutanjani, a FinTech influencer, took to his social media handle to show the use of the machine. The machine was displayed at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai. The video soon went viral and the netizens appreciated the innovation. 

The video was shared on Ravisutanjani's official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The post was captioned, “ATM Cash Withdrawal using UPI Today I Made a Cash Withdrawal using UPI at Global FinTech Fest in Mumbai What an Innovative Feature for Bharat.” 

In the video, the FinTech influencer showed the working of the machine. He started the process of taking out the cash from the UPI ATM. Soon, he received an option to choose the amount of cash he needed to withdraw and a QR code for the same. Using the two options, the man then received the cash from the UPI ATM without using a card.

The video soon went viral after it left the netizens impressed. People hailed the new and smooth technology and counted the advantages of the new UPI ATM. Others termed it a ‘much needed' innovation. The post was shared on September 05 and has been viewed 2.2M times by the viewers.

Taking to the common box, people shared their take. “Baat to same hi hue card ho ya phone ho (it's the same thing),” a user said. “Absolutely, the introduction of ATM cash withdrawals using UPI truly marks a significant step towards financial inclusivity and convenience in India,” said a second. “An entirely new, but much-needed innovation! This would be especially beneficial for those who know how to use UPI, but not a debit card (there are tons of people, especially in the rural areas). UPI ATM would make cash withdrawals much easier,” said a third. “Very much needed!!” added a fourth person.

The service has been brought by Hitachi Payment Services. Hitachi Payment Services is a subsidiary of Japan's Hitachi. The new UPI ATM has been launched in association with the National Payments Corporation of India. It is named Hitachi Money Spot UPI ATM.
