Pune Viral Video: In the past few months, ordering meals for a vegetarian person has become more like a risky game of ‘luck’. Confused? Well, social media has been witnessing quite a few cases where pure vegetarian customers somehow, either ended up with nonvegetarian meals or found something questionable in the food, when ordered online. Joining the torment, another pure vegetarian man from Pune, shared about a similar experience where he found the chicken piece in the meal that he ordered online. The incident went viral almost immediately, as the internet shared its concerns over the increasing number of such accidents.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Pankajshuklaji2’. The post was captioned, “Ordered paneer biryani from pk biryani house karve nagar pune maharashtra and I found a chicken piece in it(I am a vegetarian) I already got a refund but this is still a sin since I am a religious person and it has hurt my religious sentiments.”
The post was shared yesterday and pulled 13K views from people. It went viral and received a mixed reaction. Some suggested taking action against the restaurant and termed it the outlet’s mistake, while the rest blamed the man for ordering veg food from a nonvegetarian restaurant.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “People who are giving gyaan to order from nonveg restaurants. That pk biryani is serving veg food as well, correct? If so, any people who are not even religious can choose to order a veg dish but if he or she is taking a bite of chicken then it's a crime,” a user said.
“Buy only from pure veg ones. Never buy anything from a veg-non-veg combined eatery. Simple as that!” wrote a second person. “If you are so religious, why do you order from nonveg restaurants? Suggestion: always order from a veg restaurant if you are so religious,” commented a third user.

In a separate incident, something similar was faced by a Zomato customer, who ordered vegetarian food but received a nonvegetarian meal instead. Taking to social media, he shared about the instance.
“#zomato I am done by trusting @zomato. I ordered veg items and I received nonveg. Moreover, the delivery agent was not even listening and marked it as delivered. What kind of behavior and service that @zomatocare provide? And trying to contact customer service is shit. Never getconnect,” the post read.

We take your dietary preferences very seriously and would never intend to disrespect them. Please wait as we resolve this at the earliest with the restaurant partners,” read Zomato’s response.
