Viral Video: Eve teasing and casual remarks against women, despite being a crime, is unfortunately a bit too common in India. To make it more concerning, women retaliating against such encounters is rather rare. Perhaps that’s why this woman dancer ended up gaining support from the internet, as she did exactly the opposite of what many choose to do; staying quiet or ignoring. The dancer woman in question was on a dance stage at an event, when she was allegedly teased by one of the spectators. Choosing to stand up against the teasing, the woman began to retaliate, resulting in a heated and abusive spat.

The video went viral, and the woman gained support as people lauded her for standing up for herself. The comment section of the post was flooded with people also demanding action against the accused. The incident, as per the viral post, took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, whereas the date could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Abusive Kalesh b/w a Stage Dancer and a Guy over that guy Teased her in Ghazipur UP.” The post was shared today and pulled more than 22K views from people.

The video went viral and gained reactions from people. Most were triggered over the lack of actions against the person who allegedly teased the dancer, while the rest ‘encouraged’ the dancer for ‘standing up for herself’.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “People drink alcohol and then do such things. This is just sad how people were trying to calm her down rather than beating up the man who teased her. Also happy to see the way she stood up for herself and completely destroyed her,” a user said.

“New kalesh between dancer and guy. Good to see the way the dancer ruined him,” added a second person. “That man must have said something really degrading. She is clearly pissed to the next level,” wrote a third person. “Why do people do such things? And why is no one already taking some action against the stupid man,” said another.
