BMW i5 LWB EV Price In India:  The BMW i5 Long-Wheelbase (LWB) has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 79.60 lakh, ex-showroom. The i5 LWB is the brand’s first locally assembled electric sedan, and it has an MIDC range of up to 669 kilometres on a single charge. Bookings for the i5 LWB commenced in August 2026, and it will be exclusively offered in an eDrive 35L M Sport variant.

Exterior & Design

The BMW i5 LWB looks similar to the standard i5 model. However, the i5 LWB is longer, and it gets elements such as an illuminated grille, front and rear bumpers, and a new alloy wheel design that separates it from the standard model. The front and rear bumpers, M steering wheel, and two-tone leather upholstery are a part of the M Sport Package. The i5 LWB features adaptive air suspension on the rear.

The BMW i5 LWB draws power from an 81.6 kWh battery pack, and it has an MIDC-claimed range of 669 kilometres on a single charge. BMW i5 LWB is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, and its electric motor can generate peak power and torque outputs of 268 hp and 410 Nm, respectively. The i5 LWB supports up to 160 kW DC fast charging, and the brand claims that it can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 33 minutes. The i5 LWB can sprint from 0-100 in 6.7 seconds, and it has a top speed of 195 km/h.
