The Celerio CNG has an ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 34.43 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is the second most fuel-efficient car in the country with the highest ARAI-claimed mileage. The Wagon R is also powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine, which is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency for the Wagon R CNG stands at 34.05 km/kg. The CNG iteration of the tallboy hatchback is priced between Rs 6.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 7.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10

Another popular hatchback offered by Maruti Suzuki, the Alto K10, is the third most fuel-efficient CNG car with an ARAI-claimed figure of 33.85 km/kg. The Alto K10 is also powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine and a 5-speed gearbox. The CNG iteration of the Alto K10 is priced between Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 6.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire 4th generation was launched in 2024, and it has remained one of the best-selling cars in the country ever since. The Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, which is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Dzire has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 33.73 km/kg, and it is priced between Rs 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country.
