Delhi RC Transfer Alert:  The Delhi government has recently issued new guidelines to second-hand car dealers in the state. The government has now made it mandatory to transfer the vehicle ownership of second-hand vehicles within a period of 15 days. Let’s take a look at the new RC transfer rules in Delhi here.

Delhi RC Transfer: The Need For Rules Change

The Delhi government has changed the rules for RC transfer weeks after a used vehicle was allegedly involved in the Red Fort blast in Delhi on November 10, 2025. The investigation exposed gaps in the traceability of the vehicle used in the blast, making it mandatory to amend existing rules. The vehicle used in the blast was registered in Delhi, but it was sold multiple times without updated records, which made it difficult to investigate the case.
