EV Startup Raptee Rolls Out Its First Electric Motorcycle From Chennai Plant

Raptee Energy, an innovative electric vehicle (EV) startup based in Chennai, has achieved a major milestone by unveiling its first production-ready motorcycle from its manufacturing facility. This marks a significant step for the company, signalling its evolution from a startup to a fully-fledged EV brand. The achievement highlights Raptee Energy's commitment to pioneering performance and sustainability standards in the EV industry.

The company's CEO & Co-founder, Dinesh Arjun, expressed enthusiasm about reaching this pivotal moment, stating, “At Raptee, for over 4 years, we have imagined and reimagined electric motorcycles to give consumers not just a replacement but an actual upgrade from traditional ICE alternatives. After years of hard work, we are thrilled to introduce our first production-ready motorcycle, a testament to our dedication to innovation and sustainability. Raptee Energy's assembly line in Chennai is now fully operational as the company prepares for its commercial launch, anticipated within this quarter. The initial motorcycles will undergo thorough testing and homologation processes, including ARAI certification and on-road safety checks, ensuring they meet stringent quality and performance standards.

In line with its dedication to improving consumer experience, Raptee intends to inaugurate its inaugural store within its Chennai premises. This store will not only be a sales point but also provide customers with a complete brand immersion, including a tour of the manufacturing facility to witness the motorcycles' creation.

Jayapradeep (JP) Vasudevan, Raptee's CBO, highlighted the company's strategic approach to marketing and distribution: “We are well-prepared to establish a strong distribution network for our motorcycles, starting from Chennai and expanding to other cities in India.
