BMW iX3 Neue Klasse 2025: The 2025 BMW iX3 made its production debut at the Munich Motor Show on September 5, becoming the first of many Neue Klasse (or new class) electric vehicles to feature a dedicated EV platform. BMW's first Neue Klasse EV will be manufactured at the BMW Group's Debrecen plant in Hungary. The first variant of the iX3 to roll off the production line is the 50 xDrive, which features in-house dual motors supporting all-wheel drive.

The 2025 BMW iX3 features a 108.7kWh (net) battery, which returns a WLTP range of 805km. BMW says the new-generation battery cells are 20 per cent more energy-dense than the fifth-generation cells. The battery is compatible with 800V architecture and can be charged at up to 400kW, translating to 372km range in 10 minutes with a DC fast charger. It also supports AC chargers.

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup makes a combined 463bhp and 645Nm. Top speed is capped at 210km/h, while the electric vehicle can sprint from a halt to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds.

The uncluttered and minimalistic cabin is fitted with a full-width 'Panoramic Vision' system positioned at the bottom of the windscreen, along with a 17.9-inch touchscreen (running the latest Operating System X), and a 3D head-up display. The biggest talking point is BMW's new electronics and software architecture, backed by four centralised high-performance computers that collectively manage key functions such as ADAS, infotainment, and vehicle access. A panoramic glass roof is optional, while adaptive cruise control is standard.

The new BMW iX3 adopts a new design language while drawing inspiration from the original 1960s coupes and sedans. It features vertical kidney grilles, new light signatures, flush-fit door handles, individual wide tail-lamps, and 20-inch wheels (standard).
