Volkswagen Golf GTI Price In India:  The Much-awaited Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk 8.5 has been launched in India at Rs 53 Lakhs. It will be sold here as a CBU (Completely Built Units), and thus, import duties account for the expensive price tag, making it ‘The Most Expensive Volkswagen’ in the country currently. This will be the second GTI car to come to India, after the Polo GTI, which has already been discontinued. Here we are providing you with all the information regarding its features, engine, performance, and design.

Volkswagen Golf GTI: Features And Safety

Volkswagen Golf GTI features a premium interior, and it gets GTI badging at the front headrests, which are fixed. It also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel along with features like a 12.9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital-instrument cluster. The performance hatchback by Volkswagen also comes equipped with heated front seats, a wireless charger, a sunroof, three-zone climate control, 30 colours for ambient lighting, and a three-zone climate control system. The Golf GTI is also loaded with 7 airbags, rear view camera, an ISOFIX child seat mount, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a Level 2 ADAS with functions like emergency braking, lane change assist, and rear traffic alert.

Volkswagen Golf GTI: Engine And Performance

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine, which produces 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. This engine also powers the recently launched Tiguan R-Line SUV, and the mill is paired with a 7-speed DCA (Dual-Clutch Automatic) transmission and an electrically controlled front-axle differential lock. The stylish performance hatchback by Volkswagen does 0-100 Km/h in just 5.9 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 Km/h.

Volkswagen Golf GTI: Design

The Golf GTI features an illuminated round VW logo at the front. It gets a matrix LED light setup for headlamps, which are connected by a thin DRL. The front bumper looks very sporty and features X-shaped fog lamps. The grille at the front is very sleek, and it has a red colored thin strip just above the DRLs, along with a GTI badging. The stylish and fast hatchback by Volkswagen comes equipped with 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, red brake calipers, a rear spoiler with high mount lamps, and LED taillights.
