PAK vs UAE 2nd T20I Tri-Series: Pakistan were seen having a hard time having a hard time in Sharjah, but Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz's batting prowess and then Hasan Ali's brilliant strike made sure that they were able to survive Asif Khan's late surge and helped the team defeat UAE by 31 runs during the 2nd T20I. Youngsters Ayub and Nawaz gave the Men in Green a flying start, but Asif Khan's gritty knock ensured that the match was alive till the last over.
The Men in Green entered the match after defeating Afghanistan by 39 runs during the 1st T20I and wanted to work on their batting attack. Saim Ayub entertained the crowd by scoring a gritty knock of 69 runs off 38 balls, where he had smashed seven fours and four sixes.
He scored his half-century off just 25 balls and showed his batting prowess during the power play. After he got, Hasan Nawaz then scored 56 runs off 26 balls and brought up his fifty off 24 balls. He had smashed direct hits and helped the team score a mammoth target of 207 runs.
Asif Khan plays a blinder
The host's chase began on a high note on the back of captain Muhammad Waseem's gritty knock of 33 runs off 18 balls. But the visitors then bounced back and ensured that the hosts were reeling at 76/5, and it looked like the match slipped away from them. But then Asif Khan came into bat.
The star middle-order scored a brilliant knock of 77 runs off 35 balls, and he scored his half-century off just 25 balls. He had smashed six sixes and took the Pakistan bowlers to the cleaners and made sure that an upset was on the cards.
Hasan Ali gave the Men in Blue the much-needed breakthrough as he took Asif's wicket during the 19th over and took three wickets, whereas Muhammad Nawaz took two wickets and had previously rattled the UAE's batting lineup. The host were 176/8 and failed to chase the target but held their heads high.
