Former India captain Virat Kohli is all set to be seen in action again in the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, which is scheduled to start from July 14. This will be Kohli's first cricketing outing after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
The star batter had missed the ODI series against Afghanistan because of the injury. Before that, Kohli enjoyed an outstanding IPL 2026 season, scoring 675 runs and playing a key role in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's maiden title-winning campaign.
With Kohli now fully fit, he is likely to make his comeback in the opening ODI against England in Birmingham on July 14.

Ahead of the series, England batter Jordan Cox recalled a memorable meeting with Kohli in London last month. The two, who were teammates at RCB during IPL 2026, were spotted together in a picture that quickly went viral on social media.
Speaking about the incident, Cox said they had hoped to keep the meeting private, but were surprised to find photos of them circulating online later.
"The upsetting thing for him is that people are following him without him knowing. Hundreds of people walked past us, no one stopped, no one did anything. But then, about two hours later, he's texting me, going Have you seen all these photos? I was like 'what the hell?',"
Cox admitted he felt sorry for Kohli, saying the former India captain rarely gets the chance to enjoy a normal outing without attracting attention.
"It's just a shame how many people want a piece of him. He just wants to go under the radar, have fun and live a normal life. Unfortunately, that's not always possible,"
The England batter also spoke highly of Kohli's personality, saying the Indian great spent a lot of time helping him during their stint together at Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
"The thing that I found the most special during the IPL is how much time he gave me as a player and, for someone who's achieved so much, how much he gives back generally. Some guys focus on their own game, but he is someone who always wants to help others before he helps himself. That is very rare,"
India are currently in England for a five-match T20I series. The visitors have already lost the series after falling 3-0 behind, with the fifth and final match scheduled to be played in Southampton on Saturday.
