WBBL 2025 Full Schdule and LIVE Streaming: The Women's Big Bash League 2025 has kicked off on Sunday, November 9, with the first match being played between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades at the Allan Border Field. Jemimah Rodrigues, who recently won the historic Women's World Cup with the team, will be in action for the Brisbane Heat.

The ongoing edition will mark the competition’s 11th season. Having been retained by Heat, Rodrigues has also represented Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars previously in the franchise T20 cricket tournament Down Under.

WBBL 2025 will feature eight teams - Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes. Each team will face the others at least once and will play a total of 10 matches in the league stage. The top four teams after the league phase’s conclusion will progress to the knockout stage.

In the knockout phase, the top-placed team from the league stage directly advances to the final, while the third and fourth-placed teams face each other in the eliminator.

Indian players participating in the WBBL 2025

Jemimah Rodrigues is the only member of the World Cup-winning Indian team who is taking part in the eight-team WBBL 2025 in Australia. Jemimah has been regular in the league since 2021, having played 30 matches so far.

The Mumbai-born batter was the second-highest run-scorer for Brisbane Heat last season, with 267 runs in 10 matches.

Deepti Sharma, Player of the Tournament at the Women’s ODI World Cup, will not feature in the new WBBL season. She was a part of the Melbourne Stars last season. On the other hand, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana, who represented Adelaide Strikers last season, did not nominate herself for this season's draft.

Sydney Sixers, Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder have won the title twice each, while Perth Scorchers have also been WBBL champions in the past.
