Were Similar Threats Reported Earlier in Delhi Schools?
In February, two Delhi schools also received bomb threat emails, leading to extensive search operations. The Delhi Fire Service confirmed that no suspicious objects were found at Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharti School after detailed inspections by police and bomb disposal squads.
What Actions Were Taken by Authorities?
Police, along with bomb disposal teams and fire officials, conducted thorough checks across the affected school premises. Authorities stated that every threat is treated with utmost seriousness, ensuring the safety of students, teachers, and staff through systematic search operations.
Is There a Larger Security Concern in the Capital?
The incidents come amid heightened security in the national capital following intelligence inputs about possible terror threats near the Red Fort. Areas around Chandni Chowk and key religious sites were also placed under surveillance after alerts regarding the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
