Mumbai University CDOE 2024 Exam: Due to intense rainfall in Maharashtra, the University of Mumbai has postponed the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) exams. Initially planned for July 9, the exams will now be held on July 18 and 20. Candidates can check the Mumbai University CDOE revised exam date notification at mu.ac.in/distance-open-learning.
According to the notification, the exam venue will remain unchanged. The postponed exams include FYBA and FY BCom (semester 1), FY BSc Information Technology (semester 2), FYBAF (semester 1), FYBSc Computer Science (semester 2), and the MMS semester 2 exam.
Earlier, on Monday, the CDOE rescheduled the exams that were set for July 8. "This is to inform you that due to the heavy rains, all the exams of CDOE (formerly IDOL) scheduled for July 8, 2024, in the first half, i.e., from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, have been postponed. The new date for these exams will be July 13, 2024. The time and venue will remain the same," tweeted University of Mumbai.

Schools And Colleges Closed Due To Heavy Rain
In view of the heavy rainfall forecast, Collector Dr Suhas Diwase has announced that all schools up to class 12 will remain closed today to prevent any potential emergencies. However, school staff, including principals, teachers, and non-teaching personnel, are required to report during office hours to assist with disaster management efforts coordinated by the local administration.

IMD Issues Yellow Alert
With the showers subsiding, the IMD has downgraded the red alert to a yellow alert in Mumbai, which will remain in place until tomorrow morning. The IMD has indicated that the city may experience heavy rainfall in isolated pockets today. While no warning has been issued for Mumbai on Wednesday, a yellow alert has been issued again from Thursday to Saturday. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for Raigad, remaining in place until tomorrow morning. In Thane, a yellow alert has been issued and will stay in effect until the end of this week.
