Objective Exam Pattern and Evaluation Criteria
The written screening is entirely structured around an objective, multiple-choice testing format. Aspirants must tackle a comprehensive question paper comprising 300 total multiple-choice questions within a strict 2-hour timeline. The balanced curriculum assesses candidates across four core intellectual domains: General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude/Intelligence Quotient/Reasoning Ability. Responses must be logged on physical OMR sheets, meaning candidates are required to mark their bubbles accurately.
Mandatory Exam Day Guidelines and Center Rules
The board has issued strict entry guidelines that all candidates must follow to gain access to their testing bays:
Gate Closing Deadlines: Examination center gates will close strictly 30 minutes before the test begins. Candidates must report by 9:30 AM for Shift 1 and by 2:30 PM for Shift 2.
Required Documentation: Candidates must present a physical printout of their official UPPBPB admit card, a recent passport-size photograph, and a valid government photo identity card.
OMR Writing Instruments: Since responses are recorded on OMR sheets, candidates must bring a black or blue ballpoint pen. The use of pencils, ink pens, or gel pens is strictly prohibited.

The current recruitment cycle is set to fill 32,679 permanent spots across several specialized state law enforcement wings. The core structural split provides 10,469 vacancies for the Civil Police force and 15,131 seats for the Constable PAC/Armed Police division.
