Lok Sabha Elections 2024 LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday secured a historic third consecutive victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Although BJP alone failed short of the majority mark, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form the next government, with Modi continuing his tenure as Prime Minister. This electoral success has prompted a wave of congratulations from world leaders.

Leaders from neighboring countries were among the first to extend their congratulations. Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' expressed his happiness over the successful completion of the world's largest democratic exercise and looked forward to working closely with Modi.

Similarly, Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay praised Modi and the NDA for their historic win and expressed eagerness to strengthen bilateral relations.

From Europe, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Modi on his electoral victory. She expressed her commitment to strengthening Italy-India relations and cooperation on common issues for the benefit of both nations.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizze of the Maldives congratulated Modi, the BJP, and the NDA on social media platform X, highlighting his anticipation for mutual cooperation and stability between the two nations.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe also extended his felicitations via X, emphasizing the desire to enhance the partnership with India.

“Congratulations Prime Minister Modi Ji @narendramodi on your laudable victory for a historic third term. Under your helm, the largest democracy will continue to achieve remarkable progress. Long live the Mauritius-India special relationship,” wrote Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth in a post on X.
