In the comedy series, Ananya will be seen essaying the role of a fashionista. The storyline revolves around a billionaire fashionista who, following a scandalous controversy, is disowned by her ultra-rich family and navigates life independently. This marks Ananya's first collaboration with Varun Dhawan, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.

Last year in March, the first poster of Call Me Bae was shared, announcing Ananya's role in the series. Prime Video revealed that the actress had kick-started the shoot of the series, generating buzz among fans eager to see her in this new avatar.
Before the poster was unveiled, Prime Video shared a humorous video featuring Ananya and Varun, giving viewers a sneak peek into the show's theme and characters. In the video, Varun introduces Ananya as the new fashionista in the "primeverse," setting the stage for their on-screen chemistry.
