Andre Braugher Death: Andre Braugher, best known for playing Captain Holt in the sitcom 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', has passed away at the age of 61. He was reportedly suffering from a brief illness and took his last breath on December 11, 2023, Monday. According to a report by Variety, the news of his demise has been confirmed by his publicist Jennifer Allen.
Andre Braugher rose to international fame after playing the role of Captain Raymond Holt in the police comedy series 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', which aired from 2013 to 2021.

Marc Evan Jackson, who played the role of Holt's husband in 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', shared a picture with Andre and paid an emotional tribute to him. Sharing the picture on Instagram, he wrote, "O Captain. My Captain."

Born in 1962 in Chicago, Andre Braugher attended St. Ignatius College Prep for high school and also earned a scholarship to Stanford University. He graduated in 1988 from Julliard School's Drama Division. He rose to fame after starring in 'Homicide: Life on Street' in 1998 and won his first Emmy for playing the role of Detective Frank Pembleton in the show.
He won his second Emmy in 2006 for playing the role of heist crew leader Nick Atwater in the series 'Thief'.
