Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire which was all set to hit the theatres on September 28, has now been postponed. The vacant slot has been filled by Ram Pothineni-starrer Skanda which was earlier scheduled for September 15. Therefore, ‘Skanda's release will be postponed from its original date by almost 10 days in order to strategically use September 28. There is yet to be a formal declaration endorsing this modification in the release date.

On Monday, Manobala Vijayabalan took to his official X account and wrote, “Breaking: #Skanda takes #Prabhas' #Salaar date 28 Sep 2023.” According to his tweet, the movie has filled the vacant spot owing to Salaar’s postponement.

Not only ‘Skanda’, Telugu movie ‘Rules Ranjann’, directed by Rathinam Krishna, has also taken the spot of ‘Salaar’. According to this Rules Ranjan and Skanda with clash at the Box Office on September 28, this year.

Tamil filmmakers are attempting to profit from the situation as best they can. As of now, four other films are scheduled to be released on September 28: SU Chithha, starring Arun Kumar and Siddharth, Iaivan, directed by Ahmed, Harish Kalyan's Parking, directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, and Uyir Thamizhukku, starring Adam Bawa and Ameer.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official X account and wrote, “#BreakingNews…PRABHAS: ‘SALAAR’ TO ARRIVE IN NOV… #Salaar is NOT arriving on 28 Sept 2023, it’s OFFICIAL now… The post-production work of this #Prabhas starrer is going on in full swing… #HombaleFilms - the producers - are bringing the film in Nov 2023… New release date soon.”
