BLACKPINK' Lisa is currently on a world tour with the other members of the K-pop group including Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo. Amid their world concert updates, several reports suggest that Lisa is under the impression to not renew her contract with YG Entertainment, which is due for renewal in August.

According to a report in India Today, the contract renewal discussion for other members of the K-pop group has been completed without any issues as compared to Lisa. A source from BLACKPINK's agency anonymously said, "We discussed Lisa's appearance [on the show] while coordinating with YG and Lisa's schedule, but it was conveyed [to us] that it is difficult to arrange scheduled activities after August as their contract renewal with Lisa is uncertain."

Another source from YG Entertainment then clarified and said, "[The uncertain scheduling] is due to the tour schedule as well as her individually scheduled activities. It has nothing to do with the contract renewal." However, on record, the entertainment firm added, "Contract renewals are currently under discussion."
