BTS V aka Kim Taehyung in Squid Game 3? Speculations are rife among fans as rumours swirl about V, possibly joining the cast of the globally-hit Netflix Kdrama. Following buzz around Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio being linked to the series, Taehyung’s name has added fuel to the fire, sparking excitement among BTS ARMYs and Kdrama enthusiasts alike.

The first season of Squid Game gained global recognition for its gripping storyline and breakout performances. Its success paved the way for an expanded universe, with Squid Game Season 2 introducing a star-studded cast, including Yim Siwan, Park Sung Hoon, Kang Ha Neul, and Lee Jin Wook. The second season, which premiered on December 26, broke records by ranking No. 1 in 92 countries within its opening week.

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed UK, Squid Game stars Lee Jung Jae and Wi Ha Joon were asked about the rumours surrounding Taehyung’s potential involvement in Season 3. Their reactions were enough to keep fans on edge.

When Taehyung’s name came up, Lee Jung Jae smiled but quickly stated, “I can’t say anything about that.” Meanwhile, Wi Ha Joon, also grinning, maintained a firm “No comment.” Their responses neither confirmed nor denied the speculation, leaving fans hopeful for a possible surprise.

Now, with Netflix hinting at a June 2025 release for Squid Game Season 3, fans are revisiting past interactions between Taehyung and the show's stars. Notably, Taehyung once dressed as a Squid Game guard during BTS' Permission to Dance on Stage concerts in Los Angeles. Additionally, a selfie of Taehyung and Squid Game lead actor Lee Jung Jae still sits on Lee’s Instagram, fueling theories of their connection.

Another clue stems from Taehyung’s friendship with Yim Siwan, a new cast member in Season 2. Siwan previously mentioned Taehyung in an interview, revealing that the BTS star was among the last people he followed on Instagram.

The idea of Kim Taehyung stepping into an acting role for Squid Game Season 3 has ignited excitement across social media. While the actors’ cryptic responses didn’t offer concrete answers, fans are optimistic that their “no comment” stance might hint at something big.
