BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie's dating rumours have been a hot topic since 2023, particularly after a viral clip allegedly captured the two Kpop stars on a romantic stroll in Paris. Recently, the French photographer who claimed to have filmed the video revealed the backstory of how he captured the now-infamous footage.
Photographer Amar Taoualit, known for his work with American celebrities, shared his experience in a podcast on Sabo Production’s YouTube channel. According to Amar, it all started when a Kpop enthusiast friend tipped him off about V and Jennie’s secret Paris vacation. Intrigued, Amar decided to investigate and eventually found himself waiting outside a club in the Champs-Élysées for two hours, hoping to spot the rumoured couple.
His patience paid off when he saw two people leaving the club hand in hand, which immediately caught his attention. Eager to get a closer look, Amar hopped on a bike and followed them through the streets of Paris. Although he briefly lost sight of them, he soon spotted the duo near the River Seine.

As they strolled along the docks, Amar discreetly filmed the couple, even capturing a moment when they posed near the Eiffel Tower. However, once they noticed the photographer, Amar had to stop filming. He also recounted a moment when security approached him but ultimately decided he wasn’t a threat.

The photographer managed to film a 1-minute 30-second clip of V and Jennie, confirming their identities with a passerby who recognized the Kpop idols. Despite being approached by numerous Korean media outlets for the footage, Amar chose to share it on his social media, where it quickly went viral, further fueling the dating rumours.
Despite the widespread speculation, neither BTS’ agency BIGHIT MUSIC nor BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment has confirmed the authenticity of the clip or the rumored relationship between V and Jennie. BLINKs and ARMYs have varying reactions to the French photographer's disclosures, and they are rebuking the paparazzi for intruding on the privacy of Kpop idols.
