BTS V, also known as Kim Taehyung, achieved another milestone as his song Winter Ahead with Park Hyo Shin earned 4th consecutive monthly win as the MVP song title on the Kstar chart in April. The song earlier won the title in December 2024, February and March 2025. Notably, Winter Ahead topped all three weekly polls on the IDOLCHAMP platform, which garnered 3,281 points after which it won the title. 

Apart from this, BTS on Spotify shared that the song has spent 150 days on Spotify Daily Global Chart. Winter Ahead also became the second song of V to reach this milestone. The track turned out to be the 12th longest charting song by a Ksoloist and the 28th longest charting song by a K-Act. With so many records, Winter Ahead dominated on Spotify in eight countries such as Belarus, Hong Kong, Japan, Morocco, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.  

The records do not end here as Winter Ahead also dominated 100 days on Apple Music’s Worldwide Song Chart. It also debuted at 99 on Billboard’s Hot 100. 

Fans on social media platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) have been sharing congratulation messages and showering their love to the star and his work. 

A user said, “Congratulations to #V for winning K-Star Charts MVP of April — "Winter Ahead by #V with (PARK HYO SHIN)" at K-star Chart, becoming his consecutive 4th win..! CONGRATULATIONS TAEHYUNG CONGRATULATIONS V AND HYO SHIN.” 

Another said, “Kim Taehyung #V's Winter Ahead (with Park Hyo Shin) is titled 'Song of the Week' for May Week 1st. It ranks #1 with 23.11% votes in a poll held April 23-28 on K-STAR CHART POP-K TOP on Idolchamp app CONGRATULATIONS TAEHYUNG AND HYO SHIN.” 

Coming back to Winter Ahead, the song was released on November 29, 2024, by Big Hit Music. Notably, the vocals and songwriting have been done by V and Park Hyo Shin for the jazz pop song.
