Hyun Bin recently opened up about his family life in a rare talk show appearance after 13 years. The actor, known for his stellar performances in Crash Landing on You and Memories of the Alhambra, is set to appear on the December 18 episode of You Quiz on the Block. A preview of the show revealed heartwarming moments where Hyun Bin shared anecdotes about his wife, actress Son Ye Jin and their 2-year-old son.

The actor couldn’t hide his pride and love for his family as he spoke about their son’s recent milestone. “My son just turned 2 years old recently,” Hyun Bin shared with a smile. Adding a touch of humour, he said, “My wife wishes him to take after her, and I wish him to take after me.”

Hyun Bin also took a moment to express his gratitude towards Son Ye Jin, affectionately calling her "honey." He said, “For everything that you did for me, I respect you and I’m very grateful.”

This upcoming appearance has sparked excitement among fans, as it marks Hyun Bin's return to talk shows after over a decade. His last known talk show mention dates back to Son Ye Jin’s appearance on You Quiz on the Block in 2022, where she spoke fondly about her husband, referring to him as her “first love.”

In addition to his updates, Hyun Bin is busy promoting his upcoming historical thriller, Harbin. Set to release on December 24, the film tells the story of Ahn Jung Geun, a Korean independence activist, with Hyun Bin in the lead role. This rare glimpse into Hyun Bin's family life, paired with his career endeavours, has only deepened fans' admiration for the actor as both a dedicated father and a talented performer.
