Darsheel Safary, who won hearts with his portrayal of Ishaan in Aamir Khan's 'Taare Zameen Par', has sparked excitement among fans with a recent Instagram post hinting at a reunion with Khan after 16 years. Safary shared a collage featuring a scene from the film with a young Darsheel alongside Aamir Khan, juxtaposed with an image of Khan as an old man and Safary as a young man, suggesting a then-and-now transformation.

In the caption, Safary wrote, "BOOOMMMMM! 16 years later, and we're together again Emotional? Yeah, a little. Charged? ABSOLUTELY. All the love to my favourite mentor for the experience. Watch this space for the Big reveal. 4 Days to go!!!" While Safary did not explicitly mention the project, speculation is rife that it could be related to a possible sequel to 'Taare Zameen Par' titled 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a sequel to the beloved film, which touched hearts with its poignant story about a dyslexic child and his mentor. The original film, released in 2007, was a critical and commercial success, earning accolades for its sensitive portrayal of a challenging subject.

Adding to the excitement, Aamir Khan recently confirmed during a TV9 conclave that his next film as a lead actor, 'Sitaare Zameen Par', has begun filming and is aiming for a Christmas release. The film is said to be an entertaining story, and Khan expressed his fondness for the script. 'Sitaare Zameen Par' also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a lead role, marking her first collaboration with Khan.
