Lal Salaam Box Office Collection Day 2: Superstar Rajinikanth has returned to the big screen with his small yet impactful role in the sports drama film 'Lal Salaam'. The movie is directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and stars Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth and Senthil in the lead roles. 'Lal Salaam' received mixed responses from the audience and the critics and it is reflected in its box office collection as well. The movie has been struggling to maintain its grip in theatres.
Lal Salaam Box Office Collection Day 2:
According to the website Sacnilk, 'Lal Salaam' collected Rs 3 crore on day 2 as per early estimates. The movie earned Rs 3.55 on its opening day and its total collection now stands at Rs 6.55 crore approximately.
'Lal Salaam' revolves around a reckless townsman, who tries to change his thug ways by proving himself to be worthy in the eyes of the same people who chased him away. The movie is backed and presented by Lyca Productions and also stars Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna and Thangadurai.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen in 'Thalivar 170' along with Amitabh Bachchan. The two superstars were last seen together in the heartwarming family drama 'Hum' in 1991.
As per reports, 'Thalaivar 170' is based on a true incident and Rajinikanth will reportedly play the role of a cop. The movie will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, who is best known for his film 'Jai Bhim'.
Rajinikanth was last seen in 'Jailer' along with Mohanlal, Tamannah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu. The movie became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. He will also collaborate with Lokesh Kanagaraj for an untitled film.
