Mammootty Says 'Let's Catch Up Soon' After Kamal Haasan Congratulates Him For Padma Bhushan Honour

Malayalam actor Mammootty, who was last seen in Kalamkaval, was recently honoured with the Padma Bhushan award and the Kerala State Film Award. His friends from the industry came forward to laud the actor on his glorious achievements. Kamal Haasan also joined the trail and congratulated his 'dear friend' on this joyous occasion and shared that he has always cherished him from afar. Replying to the heartwarming message, Mammootty asked Kamal to 'catch up soon'.

After Mammootty was honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, Kamal Haasan took to X to congratulate his dear friend and shared his special expectations. Kamal wrote, "My dear friend @mammukka has been announced as the recipient of the Padma Bhushan award. We haven't acted together in any films. But from afar, we've been cherishing each other while directly critiquing one another, maintaining a friendship akin to that of a 'Kopperuncholayar Pisiranthaiyar' for many years. It now strikes me that we both could have met in person a little more often. As a Mammootty fan, my expectation is that my fans should also be his fans."

Kamal concluded the post by saying, "My friend Mammootty has now become Padma Bhushan Mammootty. Congratulations to my friend."

Mammootty And Kamal Haasan's Upcoming Movies

After Mammootty's last movie, Kalamkaval, emerged as a successful project, the actor is already gearing up for his next project. The actor is currently promoting his upcoming movie Patriot, which is set to release on April 23, 2026.

According to reports, Kamal is also going to appear in Indian 3 and Vikram 2.
