JE Entertainment Desk: Prabhas-led 'Adipurush' has found itself amid controversies, as the film opened up to big numbers, however amidst the backlash about the poor VFX and shoddy dialogues of the film, the film was banned in Nepal after a dialogue from the film went against the people of Nepal which hurt their sentiments.

However, a Nepal court on Thursday lifted the ban on Hindi films which included Prabhas' 'Adipurush' asking the authorities not to stop the screening of any film passed by the country's censor board.

In 'Adipurush' a dialogue recited by Prabhas mentioned Sita as 'India's daughter', which led to the ban on all Hindi films, which was announced by the Mayor of Kathmandu, Balendra Shah. He said he is ready to face any punishment by the government, but will not allow the film's screening in Nepal.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, he said, it pertains to Nepal's sovereignty and independence. A single bench of the Patan High Court judge Dhir Bahadur Chand issued an order stating that the screening of films that have already acquired permission from the censor board will not be halted for screening.

The president of the Nepal Motion Picture Association, Bhaskar Dhungana, said that the petitioners are waiting for a written order from the court. He said, "Now we will screen all movies passed by the censor board."

'Adipurush' and several other Hindi films were banned in Nepal on Monday after the controversy over a dialogue that included the mention of Sita, essayed by Kriti Sanon as 'India's daughter.' However, many people believe that Goddess Sita was born in Nepal's Janakpur. Shah said that he would not abide by the court's order and will not allow the film's screening.

He said, "The film's writer said that Nepal was under India, this clearly shows India's ill intention. To term this as a stunt by the Nepal government and to issue an order by the court in favor of screening the movie means, to accept that Nepal was once under India's rule, the court and the government are both the slaves of India, I am ready to face any punishment for this but the movie won't work and won't be allowed to run."
