Good news! Those who cannot attend the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in person will still be able to follow it online. 

The Festival de Cannes YouTube channel offers live coverage of the event around the clock, including press conferences, red-carpet walks, celebrity arrivals, and key festival highlights. On the official Cannes website, festival-cannes.com, fans can also follow live updates, timetables, and event coverage.

A special show called 79th Cannes: Stars, Stories And Cinema, which focuses on Indian celebrities, filmmakers, and producers attending the festival, is being streamed in India by DD India on JioTV. Highlights from the red carpet, interviews, and behind-the-scenes photos from the French Riviera are anticipated to be included in the coverage.

Indians At Cannes 2026

India's involvement this year extends well beyond popular Hindi cinema, as the Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Malayalam film industries are all making an impression on the international scene.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Aditi Rao Hydari, who represent L'Oréal Paris, are some of the most well-known Indian celebrities attending Cannes 2026. Additionally, anticipated to walk the Cannes Red Carpet this year are Jacqueline Fernandez, Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy, Pooja Batra, and Manish Malhotra.

Ammy Virk, a Punjabi film star, is making his red carpet debut at Cannes. Alongside co-star Roopi Gill, the actor will represent his movie Chardikala at the international festival.

Veteran Marathi actors Ashok Saraf and Nivedita Saraf, as well as actress Prajakta Mali and producer Kedar Joshi, are anticipated to attend the festival wearing traditional Marathi ensembles to promote regional identity on a global scale.
