Mrunal Thakur's old video has resurfaced online, putting her in the middle of controversy. In the clip, the actress was seen making a remark about Bipasha Basu that netizens found disrespectful. The video was recorded during her television days, when she was doing the serial Kumkum Bhagya. In this interview with her co-star Arjit Taneja, where they talked about fitness, when Arijit shared what kind of women he likes, Mrunal reacted by saying, "What you like manly women or what with muscles. Go, Marry Bipasha." After this clip went viral, the Son of Sardaar 2 actor has been receiving backlash. Amid this, Bipasha has taken an indirect dig at her.

Bipasha took to her Instagram story and dropped a cryptic post that read, "Strong women lift each other up. Get those muscles beautiful ladies… we should be strong… muscles help you attain good physical and mental health forever! Bust the age old thought process that women should not look strong or be physically strong."

What Did Mrunal Thakur Say About Bipasha Basu?

In the throwback video, Mrunal, along with her Kumkum Bhagya co-star Arjit Taneja, was seen talking about fitness preferences. Then, she asked him, “Would you rather marry someone who is more manly with muscles?” Arjit replied by saying Bipasha, to this, the actress responded, “Go marry Bipasha then. Meanwhile, on the work front, Mrunal was last seen in Son Of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn. The movie was released on August 1.

Bipasha, on the other hand, was last seen in the web series Dangerous with her husband, Karan Singh Grover. She has been away from the showbiz for a while and is currently focusing on her family, especially her daughter Devi.
