The season began with 15 celebrity contestants - Sunita Ahuja, Pamela Serena, Shivangi Joshi, Sufi Motiwala, Shreya Kalra, Riyaz Aly, Shresta Iyer, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Ram Kapoor, Yogesh Rawat, Akanksha Choudhary, Harshad Chopda, Varun Yadav, Akanksha Chamola, Madhuri Jain Grover. Shilpa Shinde joined the inmates as a wildcard later in the show. 

The participants were denied a luxurious lifestyle. By completing tasks within the game and conspiring against one another, they managed to survive on their own. The prisoners had to perform tasks to earn money for basic survival.
