Rajinikanth’s Coolie Ticket Prices SKYROCKET To Rs 2000 In Bengaluru; Check Rates In Delhi, Mumbai And Chennai

Coolie Ticket Price: The well-known celebrities who star in Coolie and War 2 don't need an introduction. The action movie starring Rajinikanth and the spy thriller starring Hrithik Roshan Jr. NTR are both coming out on August 14, 2025. The ticket costs for these two movies have been based on high pricing model. The distributors have recouped their expenditures by purchasing the rights to War 2 and Coolie at record prices. Here's how much Rajinikanth's movie will cost in prime cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and even Chennai:

Coolie has currently opened advance booking in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The action movie, which also stars Aamir Khan sold 10,000 tickets within 30 minutes of its premiere, shattering previous box office records. The average ticket price for early-morning and morning shows in Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai were between Rs 300 and Rs 500 on opening day. The ticket prices, however, skyrocketed on August 15 (Independence Day).

Coolie ticket prices in Delhi ranges from Rs 180 at MSX Cinemas to Rs 1,000 for Select City Walk's reclining seats. The unexpectedly high costs for early-morning performances at single-screen theaters, however, were what attracted everyone's attention.

In Mumbai, the ticket prices for Rajinikanth starrer go as high as Rs 950+ on August 14th. The price for the regional movie shoot up on the occassion of Independence Day. They go as high as Rs 1130 for recliner seats.

The Gold Recliner seats cost Rs 2,000, while Gold seats cost Rs 1,500, and Silver or Lounge seats cost Rs 1,000 at Swagath Shankar Nag on M.G. Road in Bengaluru for Coolie shows. It's interesting to see that luxury seats cost Rs 190, while tickets start at Rs 57 for Coolie premiere in Chennai. The city witnessed sold out of the majority of their shows.

For background, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah suggested regulating cinema ticket prices at Rs 200 for all shows in the state, including multiplexes, in the 2025–2026 Budget. The administration gave stakeholders who might be impacted by the rule a 15-day notice on July 14. But since then, there hasn't been any formal update.

The variable ticket pricing is helping movies like Mahavatar Narasimha do well at the box office. The inexpensive cost of the tickets enticed the family audience to hurry to the theaters to see the devotional movie. Ashwin Kumar's directorial is still doing well in its third week of release in India and worldwide.

Coolie will be released in 2D forms, initially in Tamil, with dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. Coolie has sold the most tickets among its Tamil audience, but the Hindi 2D version of War 2 had the most tickets sold on Day 1.

In addition to Rajinikanth in the starring role, Coolie has a stellar ensemble that includes Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Pooja Hegde, and Soubin Shahir. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given it a 'A' certification. It lasts for two hours and forty-eight minutes.
