The excitement surrounding Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana continues to grow as the makers prepare to unveil its first official trailer. Ahead of its worldwide launch, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the trailer with a 'U' certificate, making it suitable for audiences of all ages. The latest update has further increased anticipation for what is being described as one of Indian cinema's biggest and most ambitious films.

Ramayana Trailer Gets CBFC Clearance With 'U' Certificate

Based on the information released by the CBFC, the trailer for the film Ramayana has been certified with a ‘U’ rating on July 15 before it will be released on July 24, 2026. It can be seen from the certification report that the first trailer for Ramayana has a running time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds. This is longer compared to any other first trailer.

Two Trailers Of Ramayana Versions Approved

The CBFC website also mentions a second trailer that has also been cleared by the board. While the one trailer is 4 minutes and 15 seconds long, the other trailer is precisely 4 minutes long. But both versions have got a 'U' rating. Though, it is still uncertain which version will get a digital release or screening in cinemas.

The teaser of Ramayan was already unveiled on Hanuman Jayanti on April 2nd. See the teaser below;

Ramayana Trailer Is All Set To Launch On July 24

The makers have recently announced that the trailer of the Ramayana movie would see a global release on 24th July 2026, officially initiating the publicity process for the film. The grand launch ceremony for the film will take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and will also see the participation of director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra, and other stars from the film’s cast.

Ramayana Star Cast And Release Plan

Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Kajal Aggarwal will reportedly play Mandodari, while Rakul Preet Singh has been cast as Shurpanakha and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. The film also stars Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Arun Govil in important roles.

Made on a reported budget of around Rs 4,000 crore, Ramayana will be released in two parts. The first instalment is scheduled for Diwali this year, while the second will arrive during Diwali next year.
