Many people are now asking when they will be able to watch the spy movie from the comfort of their homes after it received a mixed response from both viewers and critics. Here's all the information you need to know regarding the Alpha OTT release:

Alpha OTT Release

Alpha is anticipated to release on Netflix six to eight weeks after its theatrical premiere, based on the release schedule of several recent Hindi movies. Due to its spy and patriotic setting, some reports have even indicated that it would be released on August 15, Independence Day.

However, there isn't an official announcement yet; a number of reports—including one from The Economic Times—indicate that Netflix will be the streaming service after the movie's theatrical run ends.

Netflix allegedly offered over Rs 215 crore for the digital rights to a direct-to-OTT release, completely escaping theatres, as per an Economic Times report. Yash Raj Films turned down this offer in favour of moving on with the scheduled theatrical premiere, according to Variety and Mid-Day.

What Is Alpha Movie About?

Alpha is the first female-led installment in a series that has already offered viewers Pathaan, Tiger, and War.

Sita, an operator raised in seclusion as part of a covert operation centred on a regenerative serum, is portrayed by Alia Bhatt. When she finds out that Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, played by Bobby Deol, the man she thought was her father, is actually the mastermind behind her stolen childhood, her entire world falls apart.

The plot combines espionage, family treachery, and intense action as Sita partners up with Sharvari's character Durga to destroy his business.

Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol also feature, alongside a cameo from Hrithik Roshan reprising his War character, Kabir.
