Production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) kicked off its highly successful Spyverse in 2012 with director Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger. Over the years, these spy films have grown into a massive shared universe, becoming one of the top-grossing franchises in Bollywood.
While the series initially enjoyed a golden run at the ticket window driven by top stars, it faced its first major blow with War 2, which underperformed and became the franchise's first flop. The latest entry, Alpha, takes a new direction as the first female-led origin story. It features a highly controlled production budget compared to its predecessors.
