Sohail Khan Issues Apology After Photo Of Him Riding Bike Without Helmet Goes Viral: ‘It Is Better To Be Safe Than Sorry’

Actor and producer Sohail Khan, who has carved a distinct identity in the Hindi film industry, recently found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond his work. He recently made headlines after a video of him riding a bike without a helmet and violating basic safety rules surfaced on Instagram. The video went viral in no time, making him a victim of backlash. Sohail, without wasting any time, apologised for the mistake and explained the reason behind this error. He further asked people not to repeat the same mistake, as it is a major safety hazard.

On Monday, Sohail shared a post on Instagram where he can be seen riding a bike without a helmet. In the caption, he wrote, "I would like to request all the bike riders please wear helmets. I avoid wearing them at times as i feel claustrophobic but that’s no excuse to not wear one. Riding has always been my passion since childhood."

He further said, "It began with BMX cycles and now i ride bikes. I mostly ride late nights when there is not much traffic to cut risks that too at a slow pace and with my car following me."

Explaining the reason behind this lapse Sohail said, "I assure fellow riders that i will make a genuine effort to overcome my claustrophobia and wear a helmet so please bear with me. My sincere apologies to the traffic authorities and i assure them that i will follow all the rules henceforth."

Sohail concluded the post by apologising and said, "I salute all the riders for wearing their helmets at all times despite the discomfort, as it is necessary for our safety. It is better to be safe than sorry. Once again I am really sorry.”
