Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, putting the whole film industry in grief. His older son, Sunny Deol, has now penned a touching tribute to him on his 90th birth anniversary. In the throwback video, the Gadar 2 actor asked his 'papa' Dharmendra if he was enjoying the view in the middle of the mountains. Sunny Deol posted a little video of the father and son sharing a tender moment during a journey to a hill station. He asked, "So papa are you enjoying the view?" Dharmendra looked at the camera, laughed wholeheartedly and replied, "I'm enjoying my son, it's lovely." Sunny was heard saying, "So beautiful", panning the camera towards the mountains.
Dharmendra's son Sunny Deol captioned the post (translated to English) - "Today is my father's birthday. Papa is always with me, inside me love you papa. Miss you (sic)."

Dharmendra's remembrance post received immense love and blessings from people. Many dropped heart and crying emojis in the comment section. A user wrote, "Kitne sweet awaz mein Sunny papa bol rahe ho. Love you Sunny." Another user wrote,"He'll still always be in our hearts. The legend( HE MAN) One & only DHARMENDRA SIR." Several users wished late actor on his 90th birthday.
Abhay Deol also recalled the time when he was sad and Dharmendra had called him over, instructing him to 'look at the light' for the picture alongwith a throwback picture from his childhood. On his 90th birth anniversary, he wrote on Instagram, "Must've been 1985 or '86. I had just been scolded so I was upset. He called me to him, sat me down by his side and said, 'look at the light', and had the photographer click this pic. I look forward to the moment I hear him say those words to me again, when my time comes. Today was his birthday."

Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with other family members, will commemorate his 90th birthday, according to Hindustan Times. Fans who wish to visit the Khandala farmhouse to pay their respects and get to know the Deol family are welcome to do so. However, the revised location and time for the commemoration of the late actor's birth anniversary were revealed on a fan page devoted to Dharmendra.
Dharmendra, one of the most adored actors in Indian cinema, was admitted to the hospital on November 10 after being ill for some time. The Sholay actor was recovering at home after he was released from the hospital. His sudden demise on November 24 shocked the entire nation, leaving a void in the Hindi cinema industry. Sunny Deol, along with his son Karan and brother Bobby, immersed Dharmendra's ashes in the Ganga's hallowed waters at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar.
Dharmendra was first married to Prakash Kaur in 1953 and had four children - Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta and Ajeeta. He later secretively married Hema Malini and had two daughters with her - Esha and Ahana Deol.
