Tourist Family Review: Sasikumar and Simran Bagga starrer Tamil comedy family drama movie released in theatres on May 1. The film, which received positive reviews from the audience and the critics, has won the hearts of renowned South filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The Baahubali director gave ‘wonderful’ review to the Tourist Family. In a post made on X (formerly known as Twitter),  Rajamouli called the Tamil movie ‘wonderful, ‘heartwarming’ and ‘best cinematic experience’. He then asked fans not to miss watching it. SS Rajamouli tweeted, “Saw a wonderful, wonderful film Tourist Family. Heartwarming and packed with rib-tickling humor. And kept me intrigued from beginning till end. Great writing and direction by Abishan Jeevinth. Thank you for the best cinematic experience in recent years. Don’t miss it…” Fans reacted also extended their love and good wishes to the team of Tourist Family. 

Director Abishan Jeevinth reacted to the tweet of Rajamouli and wrote on X, "Thank you so much, @ssrajamouli sir! Your tweet was such a wonderful surprise, it truly made our day even more special. Grateful beyond words :)" 

While thanking SS Rajamouli for his review, Sasikumar wrote on Instagram, “Truly honoured by your words, @ssrajamouli garu. Your appreciation means a lot to the entire #touristfamily team Grateful beyond words. Thank you for embracing our film with so much warmth!”

The plot of the Tamil comedy family drama movie revolves around Sri Lankan family, who came to India to have a fresh start. They transformed a disconnected neighbourhood into a vibrant community with their kindness. Tourist Family features M. Sasikumar as Dharmadas, Simran Bagga as Vasanthi Dharmadas, Mithun Jai Sankar as Nithushan Dharmadas, Yogi Babu as Prakash, Kamalesh Jagan as Mulli Dharmadas, MS Bhaskar as Richard, Ramkumar Prasanna as ACP Balwan Singh and Ramesh Thilak as A. Bhairavan. It has been written and directed by Abishan Jeevinth. The Tamil movie has been produced by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian and Yuvaraj Ganesan. Aravind Viswanathan has done the cinematography of the film. Tourist Family has been made on a budget of Rs 14 crore and has earned Rs 73.50 crore worldwide after 18 days of release. While it made Rs 51.15 crore in India.
