Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are about to have their second child. On Sunday, the couple shared a joint Instagram post announcing their second pregnancy. In the collaborative post, their daughter, Dua, was seen carrying a positive pregnancy test. They added two emojis of an evil eye in the caption. As their fans celebrate the joyous, here is what their first meeting looked like:

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first crossed paths at an award ceremony. In an interview with Filmfare, he stated that he has been in awe of her from their first encounter. However, the sparks really flared on the sets of their first movie, Ram Leela, that same year.

What Happened During Ram Leela?

 

 

Ranveer Singh revealed to Karan Johar on the most recent season of Koffee With Karan that something happened at the Ram Leela reading at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Versova home. "I was supposed to meet him before Deepika's arrival. So, I was sitting on the table and the door was on my left. He has these heavy doors and he lives by the seaside. So, these heavy doors open and the gush of wind comes from the sea. There, Deepika enters wearing this white chikankari, hair blowing due to the sea wind just like some sadgi ki moorat. I was like, 'Oh My God'."

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer's relationship was greatly influenced by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In addition to giving them three successful movies (Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat), she famously asked Ranveer to clean a piece of crab that got stuck in her teeth at the director's house. When he did so, they realised there was no turning back.

Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh's Marriage

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh confirmed their wedding on Instagram by merely posting the wedding invitation and asking for blessings. They exchanged wedding vows in Lake Como, Italy. The pair conducted two wedding ceremonies in keeping with Deepika's Konkani heritage and Ranveer's Sindhi heritage.

On February 29, 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared a joint Instagram post announcing their first pregnancy. On September 8, 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. On October 20, 2025, at their Diwali celebrations, they unveiled Dua's face to the public for the first time.
