Akanksha Chamola is also an Indian television actress. She began her acting career with Hindi serial Swaragini, which helped her gain recognition across the industry. She later worked in shows such as Bhootu and Can You See Me? The 41-year-old actress hails from Mumbai and has completed her postgraduate degree in commerce. According to reports Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola tied the knot in 2016. The three days wedding ceremony was held in Gaurav’s hometown in Kanpur.

When Akanksha was preparing to leave for another audition, Gaurav offered to drop her off, but asked her to Google him. Meanwhile, in a newly released promo, Gaurav Khanna was seen eagerly waiting for his wife Akanksha Chamola as the current Bigg Boss 19 is witnessing a family week. The couple had their reunion after astrologer, Jai Madaan claimed that Akanksha had been planning to embrace parenthood, which made their moment sweeter. The promo began with Gaurav, sitting calmly and eagerly waiting for her beloved wife to enter the Bigg Boss 19 house. Hearing Akanksha cheer, very excited to meet her husband, Gaurav, couldn’t stop blushing. Later when 'Bigg Boss' said release to Gaurav Khanna, excited Akanksha said, "Thank you Bigg Boss" and the duo hugged each other. Gaurav then kissed Akanksha on the cheek, and the couple got lost in each other’s eyes.

Earlier, in an episode of Bigg Boss 19, while speaking to now-evicted contestant, Mridul Tiwari, Gaurav Khanna shared about fatherhood. The Anupamaa actor stated that in November 2025, the couple will complete 9 years. So, when Mridul asked the TV actor about having kids, he revealed that his wife is not willing to have kids and he supports it. He also justified why Akanksha didn’t want to have kids saying, "No, my wife doesn't want. I want, but it's a love marriage. Whatever she says, manna padega. Pyaar kiya hai toh nibhaana toh padega. Her thinking is also valid. There are a lot of responsibilities. And it's only two of us for each other. If I go to work the entire day and she also gets work, with whom will we keep the kids? We don't want anyone else to take care of them. I had told her that I wanted, but I understood when she explained."

On the other hand, during a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, an opportunity arose when spiritual speaker Jai Madaan offered to share predictions for the nine contestants. Gaurav questioned Madaan if there was any chance of him and Akanksha embracing parenthood, clarifying that they had not yet made any plans. To his and everyone's surprise, Madaan gave a positive nod, predicting that Akanksha ‘is thinking about it seriously.’ This prediction prompted a delighted ‘Oh ho!’ from Gaurav.
